Job SummaryAre you interested in using your robotics and system

Biomotum is a rehabilitation robotics company searching for an
experienced Robotics or Systems Engineer to help lead mechatronic
development of our wearable robotic assistive devices to transform
the treatment of movement disorders. Combine your love of
multi-disciplinary engineering design with impactful, purpose
driven work to help improve mobility across the lifespan. The
successful candidate will work with and/or lead a team of engineers
and external partners to bring our assistive technology to the
market. -
Responsibilities
- Contribute as a core member of the engineering/product
development team
- Assist the engineering/contract manufacturing design of
production robotic assistive devices
- Develop embedded software architecture for control of
exoskeleton technology, including:
- Real-time high- and low-level control schemes
- Bluetooth communication for data logging and high-level
control
- Error handling
- Embedded c programming for Zephyr RTOS (or similar)
- Contribute to quality management system (QMS) requirements,
including establishing and completing design verification
testing
- Manage ISO and IEC standards and quality testing as per federal
guidelines
- Develop motor driver and sensor circuits and custom PCBs
- Reliably interface embedded software with iOS and Android GUI
via bluetooth
- Manage external software engineering partners
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in robotics, mechatronics,
mechanical, electrical or biomedical engineering and 4+ years in
research or product development
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration
skills
- Passion for working in a start-up environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in robotics, mechatronics, mechanical,
electrical or biomedical engineering with 5+ years research/product
development experience
- Direct experience with wearable robotic technology or medical
device development
- Hands-on experience in electromechanical prototyping;
specifically soldering, mechanical assembly, carbon fiber layups,
basic machining and manufacturing (depending on the candidate
background)
- PCB design and fabrication
- Knowledge and experience working with manufacturing sources and
component vendors
- Familiarity with electrical safety compliance and testing,
including IEC 60601
- Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, EAGLE, SolidWorks, Git (via
SourceTree or similar) and other common computer programming and
electrical and mechanical design/simulation software programs
- Experience with communication protocols like SPI, I2C, CAN,
UART and USB
- Experience with computer-based instrumentation and data
acquisition
