Job Title: Marketing and Communications Manager Department: Marketing Reports to: Director of Marketing FLSA Status: Exempt Summary: SenesTech, Inc. is a platform life sciences company specializing in reproductive physiology. We are currently commercializing our first product, ContraPest--, a liquid fertility-management bait that will profoundly change the world via animal pest population management. Provide marketing services support to marketing and sales teams. Generally, this position will provide support to the Director of Marketing and as part of the role will interact with sales, customer service, regulatory and 3rd party vendors. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Build and manage lead generation campaigns and lead nurturing activities and processes for sales. This includes list cleaning and management in Excel, ERP and email marketing software. Coordinate media planning for print and online advertising while staying within budget guidelines as well as researching and finding new opportunities. Manage logistics and planning for on-and-offsite events and tradeshows. Manage, coordinate and contribute to the creation of quarterly external communications. Build and maintain press release schedule, write press releases and distribute through trade and web channels. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Sales and Customer Service teams and vendor contacts. Manage projects in accordance with prescribed marketing expense budgets. Coordinate the creation of digital content (e.g. website, blogs, press releases and podcasts), through clear and compelling product and brand copy that maintains a strong online company voice through social media. Plan and execute all digital marketing, marketing database, email marketing automation, social media and display advertising campaigns, with preference toward end-to-end campaigns. Design, build and maintain our social media presence with clear objectives, goals, metrics and reporting for each channel. Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) and utilize metrics to continuously instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels and campaigns. Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points, including competitive research to identify our strong points and opportunities. Collaborate with Marketing and Commercialization teams to ensure product and brand consistency with aligned messaging and optimized user experience. Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partner to create appealing graphics that complement text and other assets i.e. video, infographics, etc. Update product and brand information as needed (both on our websites and other online resources), ensuring all platforms within the business communicate with each other to remove discrepancies. Execute a range of automated marketing campaigns based on business criteria to optimize awareness and conversion to delivering a steady stream of qualified leads to sales organization. Carrying out A/B testing on automated marketing campaigns and segment audiences to optimize campaigns and increase effectiveness. Special projects as assigned. Core Competencies : Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent project management skills and great attention to detail. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize workload, and ensure projects are delivered on-time/complete. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals and objectives. Self-starter who is able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, as well as with external customers and suppliers. Basic knowledge of MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) required; Basic knowledge Adobe Creative Suite software required. This includes Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience/comfort writing basic marketing copy for the web is also preferred. Willingness and ability to learn our business, our markets, our Sales organization and our customer base to the degree necessary to support the initiatives outlined. Strong analytical mindset and project management skills. An ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with online marketing campaigns. Basic keyword search knowledge. Time-management abilities. Relevant industry experience would be a strong advantage. Excellent email marketing and campaign experience is essential. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree preferably in marketing or communications, or equivalent work experience. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints. Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking. Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement. Solid knowledge of Photoshop, Audacity or other media editing software, and experience with visual communication principles. Familiarity with web design and content management systems, including WordPress, and Customer management systems including Bizowie, Salesforce, etc. Previous experience using Marketing Automation platforms such as Marketo, Pardot and Hubspot, MailChimp. Proven work experience as a Product Copywriter, Copywriter or similar role. Physical Demands & Travel Requirements: Most work is performed while sitting or standing at a desk with a computer. Ability to use standard office equipment including computer, telecommunications equipment, desk or cell phone, copier, and fax machines. Most office work is performed while seated, although occasional periods of standing, walking, bending or carrying light objects (up to 40 lbs) are required. May be required to travel up to 15% of the time. Salary: $48,0000-$52,000 per year. SenesTech is a publicly-traded company and stock options may also be available as supplemental, performance-based compensation.
