We currently have a client in Flagstaff, AZ looking for an Operating Room RN(OR RN) !Focus Staff is seeking a traveling OR RN to work as an Operating room nurse (or perioperative nurse) to assist surgeons during operations and keep the operating room sterile at all times.Contract Assignment - 13 Weeks (Temporary/Travel/Contract)Shift: 3x12 DaysRewards: (Operating Room Nurse (OR RN) Benefits)

  • Proven experience as operating room nurse (circulating and scrub)
  • Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
  • Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
  • In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures
  • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.

    • Assess patients prior to surgery (e.g. NPO status) and alleviate their concerns
    • Monitor patient's vital signs to detect anomalies
    • Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned
    • Evaluate patient in postoperative phases
    • Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operation
