are looking for a Pathologists Assistant to join the Pathology
team. In this role, you will partner with pathologists, scientists,
study directors, and engineers to support medical device research
and development. This position offers the option to work on-site at
-our -Science Center facility in Flagstaff, Arizona. -This position
may be -eligible for -a -hybrid -work arrangement, meaning you
-could -work -remote -part of the time, depending -upon the
-responsibilities of the role and business -needs.*
Responsibilities:
- Assist pathologists and/or pathology technicians in post-mortem
examination of various laboratory animal species, human tissues,
and medical devices
- Perform microscopic examination of -organs, tissues, and
devices including performance of the following activities:
characterization, histomorphometry, and ordinal data (scores)
- Assist with pathology data compilation, analysis, reporting,
and literature search/review
- Participate in laboratory procedures, educational courses, and
continuous improvement activities
- Participate in writing/reviewing/revising experimental
protocols as needed
- Collaborate with appropriate associates such as pathologists,
study directors, research scientists, veterinarians, pathology
technicians, other nonclinical research technicians,
biostatisticians, and engineers as part of daily activities
Required Qualifications: - -
- Bachelor's degree in a biological field
- Minimum of 2 years combined experience in a veterinary field,
-human anatomical field, and/or -in medical device research and
development
- Critical thinking and technical writing experience, including
authorship and editing -of technical documents
- Excellent communication skills; effectively collaborate with
associates across a wide array of specialties and functions
- Highly effective organization, time management, and diligence
with a strong attention to quality, accuracy and detail
- Ability to perform necropsies and -cadaveric dissections
- Ability to work in a research laboratory setting -and compile
data
- Ability to effectively work in and positively contribute to a
team environment, and excel at working independently
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel up to 5% Desired Qualifications: - -
- Graduate degree in a biological field (i.e., M.S.,
PA[ASCP])
- Demonstrated experience with microscopic evaluation of tissues,
and deep technical knowledge of comparative anatomy
- Experience in quality systems (GLP/GMP) *Remote Working
Arrangements are permitted for -Associates in the continental
United States -(US) and -Canada, with appropriate approval and
compliance -with Gore's remote working -policies, from the country
-in which they are employed. Locations not eligible for -new remote
-work arrangements -include: Alaska and -Hawaii (for all roles),
