Polysomnographer for a travel job in Show Low, Arizona. Job

Activities: This position requires operational knowledge of office
equipment in the Sleep Lab as well as department specific
equipment, including: “Alice 5” and/or “Alice 6” polysomnography
equipment, fax, printer, phone systems, computer, and commonly used
Association computer programs (including Hospital Information
Systems, MS Office, e-mail, and internet). Must be service oriented
and have excellent customer service skills, computer skills,
problem-solving skills, organizational skills, multitasking skills,
professional interpersonal skills, time management skills, the
ability to prioritize work, and telephone etiquette. Must be able
to read, write, speak, and understand English. Essential Functions
/ Major Responsibilities Polysomnographer I: • Reviews patient
histories, medications, and procedures. • Applies electrodes and
sensors. • Performs appropriate calibrations. • Gathers data
acquisition while monitoring. • Documents observations (including
sleep stages, clinical events, changes in procedures, etc.). •
Performance of PAP titration per protocol and/or policy and
procedure. • Completes data. • Removes wires and sensors. • Faxes
reports to physicians. • Cleans rooms and area as required. •
Displays proper etiquette and mannerisms that reflect the SHINE
Behavior Standards. • Promotes the Patient Safety Standards as a
core value of the organization. Polysomnographer II: • All duties
of Polysomnographer I. • Scores patient acquisitions using the
latest AASM rules. • Prepares draft reports for interpretation by
Medical Director. Polysomnographer III: • All duties of
Polysomnographer I and II. • Performs pediatric sleep studies with
understanding of ETCO2 hookup and scoring of all pediatric data. •
Completion of Summit Healthcare Association preceptor course and
willing to train and help new staff with all duties as a
Polysomnographer. • Communication between the hospital and CPAP
equipment providers to ensure up to date masks. • Organizes the
sleep schedule for approval by the manager. Secondary Functions: •
Scans and mails paperwork. • Stocks the lab. • Participates in
departmental and association wide informational meetings and in
services, including staff meetings, association wide forums, and
seminars. • Reviews department and association wide policies and
procedures annually. • All other duties as assigned. About Malone
