Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PACU Job Details: • Provide nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients using standardized procedures • Assess needs of patients with various illnesses and administer medications as prescribed • Operate special equipment and respond appropriately to emergency situations • Follow guidelines including doctor's orders, standards of care, nursing policies and hospital policies • Provide comprehensive nursing care from admission through discharge planning • RN license from any state is acceptable - Arizona state license not required • Must have and maintain valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications throughout employment • Minimum one year of experience in critical care setting (PACU, ICU, or ED) required • Fingerprinting must be submitted and cleared prior to start • Shared contractor housing available based on availability (no family or pets) • Orientation provided every 2 weeks • Overtime rate is additional $10.00 per hour over 40 hours worked weekly • COVID and flu exemptions may be accepted after declination form is submitted • Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start Facility: This JCAHO accredited health center provides comprehensive medical services to a 4,400 square mile area and serves as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The 73-bed hospital offers inpatient/outpatient emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery and urological procedures. Approximately 49% of surgeries performed are outpatient/ambulatory procedures, supported by a diverse medical staff including surgeons, specialists, and comprehensive nursing teams.
