Registered Nurse (RN) | Infection Control Location: Flagstaff, AZ Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,454 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 21 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Infection Control RN in Flagstaff, Arizona, 86004! Job Title: Quality Assurance Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Quality Assurance Duration: 6 months Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Entry Level License: RN or LPN license in Arizona Certifications: Infection Prevention Certification preferred Must-Have: Current license to practice in Arizona Description: We are seeking a Quality Assurance Nurse. This position allows for a flexible schedule with options for shift times. Potential schedules include 7 AM - 3 PM, 8 AM - 4 PM, or 8 AM - 5 PM. The role requires 8 hours of work Monday to Friday, with varied weekends as needed. Infection Prevention Certification is a requirement and is preferred prior to submission, but it can be acquired after an offer or start date. The responsibilities include: Implementing policies and procedures related to quality assurance using established guidelines. Gathering and analyzing data through audits, interviews, and other methods to ensure compliance across all disciplines, departments, and services. Reviewing reports to develop Quality Assurance Performance Improvement plans when necessary. Preparing and distributing reports and analyzing data summaries for facility staff regarding QAPI activities. Summarizing the status of facility compliance with established goals for quality assurance. Assisting management in developing and implementing corrective action plans. Monitoring facility plans to correct deficiencies identified during surveys. Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Investigating incidents of non-compliance. Helping in the investigation of allegations of abuse, neglect, and mistreatment. Coordinating preparations for facility surveys. Chairing and coordinating internal Quality Assurance and Infection Control committee meetings. Identifying training needs and developing educational programs related to quality assurance and compliance. Maintaining training and compliance records. Providing information for regulatory surveyors alongside leadership. Conducting daily rounds to confirm compliance with care plans for residents with infections. Staying updated on current information and attending educational opportunities relevant to the role. Necessary knowledge includes management principles, facility policies, quality assurance principles, and training techniques. The ability to communicate effectively, solve problems, and analyze information is essential. Candidates must be able to work with various levels within the organization and coordinate training programs. Requirements include: A current license to practice in Arizona as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. A valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
