$20.79/hr, 40 hrs/wk, 52 wks/yr
POSITION SUMMARY:Working under administrative supervision, and with technical difficulty, this position is responsible for supporting NACOG by performing system administration and daily help desk support duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage data backup routines; ensure backup jobs are complete and verified; rotate backup tapes to off-site location
• Responsible for PC operating system installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintaining main PC system image
• Manage account adds/changes/deletions on network and email systems
• Provide daily support to diagnose and resolve PC hardware and software issues
• Document work order requests and resolutions in help desk system
• Responsible for review of email quarantine and anti-virus alerts, including taking appropriate action as needed
• Maintain inventory of all IT equipment, parts, and supplies
• Provide individual and small-group training on the use of computers, peripherals, cell phones/tablets
• Develop and maintain internal SQL databases
• Stay current with industry trends through training, research, and use of test environments
• Assist with analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of network, wireless, and VoIP issues in a timely, non-disruptive manner
• Assist with configuration, implementation, and maintenance of network, wireless, and VoIP infrastructure with guidance from the IT Director
• Assists with IT Department audits, policies and procedures, and training
  Other related duties as assigned
  EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Associate's Degree in Information Technology from an accredited college or university or other related field of study; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience and at least 4 years related professional experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:
  • A+ and Network+ certifications, and/or Microsoft and Sonicwall

        TRAVEL REQUIRED:X Travel within the region to various office and site locations.
        PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:Physical Activity: Frequent sitting, talking, listening, balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, finger use, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion. Occasional kneeling, crawling, pushing, and pulling.Physical exertion: ___ Sedentary; ___ Light; _X_Medium; __ Heavy; __ Very Heavy. Work involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.Visual requirements: Close visual acuity for viewing a computer screen and reading.Working conditions: Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
