for a CARE Unit (Crisis Alternative Response) Lead Clinician -
Licensed (40 hour) position, at our Flagstaff location. As part of
the Flagstaff Alternative Response Team (ART), the ART Crisis Lead
Clinician responds, along with a Flagstaff Fire Department EMT, to
individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use concern,
via the Flagstaff 911 Dispatch Center. The individual will need to

Responsibilities
We are currently hiring for a Crisis Alternative Response Lead
Clinician - Licensed Full-Time Employment (40 hours) New Hire Sign
On Bonus: $2,000 if not licensed $3,000 to $5,000 if licensed
(cannot be a temporary license) Arizona License: LCSW, LPC, LISAC,
LMSW, LAC, LASAC or LMFT, in Good Standing - Highly Preferred
Bilingual in Spanish is a PLUS (Additional Language Differential is
Available) This position has a dual role: First, as part of the
Flagstaff Alternative Response Team, the Lead Crisis Clinician
responds, along with a Flagstaff Fire Department EMT, to
individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use concern,
via the Flagstaff 911 Dispatch Center. Utilizing best practices in
crisis intervention, the Lead Crisis Clinician responds to and
supports individuals and families in crisis. Second, the Lead
Crisis Clinician engages in clinical, administrative, and oversight
tasks that are necessary for the Alternative Response Team to
operate in compliance with contractual commitments and State and
National standards. Your duties would include but are not limited
to:
- Engages in mobile crisis response,
brief psychotherapeutic intervention, and immediate
treatment/safety planning in a variety of settings including but
not limited to public areas, individual residences, and
businesses.
- Supports the Northern Arizona Director and Managers in
providing clinical and administrative oversight of BHT level staff,
including clinical review of documentation.
- Fulfills a key role in staff training and development which
includes clinical training such as triage screening, assessment,
de-escalation and resolution, peer intervention, coordination with
medical and behavioral health professionals, crisis planning, and
follow-up.
- Performs clinical documentation review, training, feedback on
corrections and support for department staff. This includes
training staff on use of Electronic Health Record (EHR), and
ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and entered in a
timely manner.
- Engages in the on-call consultations with Crisis team members
who are on-scene with clients
- Serves as a main interface between the Terros Health Crisis
Department and Flagstaff Fire and 911 Dispatch Center.
- Works effectively and respectfully with clients, fire
department personnel and other first responders, families, health
professionals, and all partners involved.
- Supports psychiatric hospital placements by providing
coordination, planning and facilitation with hospital staff.
- Collaborates with the Manager/Director in managing the Terros
Health Alternative Response Team schedule.
- Participates and represents Terros Health in community and
stakeholder events including public speaking forums, to inform the
general public as well as local, statewide and national
organizations about the Alternative Response services. Terros

Qualifications
Mobile Crisis work experience is preferred
- Master's degree or higher in the field of behavioral health
(e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Counseling)
- Arizona Behavioral Health licensure, or ability to obtain
licensure within four (4) months.
- Preferred- One year of experience practicing in one of the
licenses listed below.
- Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT)
- Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC)
- Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselor (LASAC)
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the Arizona Board of
Behavioral Health Examiners
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by the Arizona State
Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
- Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC) by the
Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
- Must be able to work well and tactfully with individuals and
groups.
- Must have valid Arizona driver's license, be 21 years of age
with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of
Terros Health's driving policy.
- Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1)
or apply for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card within 7 working
days of employment.
- Must have the ability to perform first aid, and cardiopulmonary
resuscitation as necessary and appropriate.
- Operate a vehicle safely at various times of day/night
depending upon hours worked.
- Normal vision needed with or without correction. Requires both
near and far acuity.
- Normal hearing needed. To do this work the individual must
discriminate among similar sounds in environments with a great deal
of background noise.
- Ability to perform physical demands associated with this role.
