Jobs at Southwest Accounting Resources, Inc Manufacturing company is looking to add a Cost Analyst to their staff. The position can be based in Flagstaff or Phoenix, Arizona. The candidate they are looking for needs to be out of a manufacturing company and have 3+ years within manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the division Manufacturing Operations Leadership team in strategic and business planning, developing and driving the implementation of key strategic metrics, reporting, identifying cost reduction opportunities, performing analyses, as well as other projects and initiatives that align with the divisional and functional strategic plans
• Associating with primary responsibility for MPD E1 ERP oversight and maintenance
• Responsible for annual Global Cost Update process for MPD
• Rolling costs on new MPD items and copying those costs to all sales and distribution locations
• Working closely with IT to understand and resolve supply chain transaction errors
• Working closely with the Tax Team to update transfer pricing and maintain this pricing in E1
• Coordinating--the annual business and functional plan of divisional operations by working with cost center owners to understand & create their investment plans (e.g. Associate resourcing plans, period cost investments and capital planning)
• Performing divisional analysis of Variance Addback process and periodic normal capacity utilization updates
• Analyzing--manufacturing performance via manufacturing variance and scorecard analysis and communicating results to Manufacturing Operations Leadership
• Participating--in divisional and functional finance projects and initiativesRequired Qualifications:--
  • BS degree in--accounting, economics or another business-related discipline
  • Minimum of 5--years'--accounting / finance experience
  • Minimum--of 3 years'--accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment, performing and analyzing product cost and trends
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, E1
  • Ability to think strategically and view the big picture, while also operating at detail level
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, including success working in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skillsDesirable:
    • Experience with IBM Cognos TM1 and PowerPlay
    • MBA, CPA or CMA certification
