About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineering Technician to join our Medical Products Division. In this role, you will provide support for our medical manufacturing and shop areas.

This position will be located at our Fisher Point facility in Flagstaff, Arizona , with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.*

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure machine maintainability is considered by participating in design reviews & factory acceptance testing for new equipment
  • Develop Preventative Maintenance Schedules for manufacturing equipment, including accompanying procedures when necessary
  • Drive commissioning activities to ensure equipment is installed according to user needs, including documentation through the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system
  • Work with maintenance associates to facilitate proper documentation of breakdowns; this includes providing technical assistance, specialized troubleshooting, failure analysis, and coordination of impact assessment with Engineering and Quality Assurance
  • Responsible for data-integrity of maintenance activities in EAM: drive metrics collection, analysis & decisions for manufacturing equipment: assessment of maintenance activities, instructions & intervals, equipment risk analysis, critical parts utilization, machine condition assessments, and useful service-life evaluations
  • Provide technical input and prepare service documentation for equipment transitions to new EAM software, including technical support for "start-up" at each manufacturing plant
  • Daily interactions with Design & Automation team, Process Engineers, Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Monitoring and Control, and Quality Assurance to complete tasks
  • Perform all required tasks in alignment with medical-manufacturing Quality System
  • Work closely with other shop services functions (facilities, maintenance, calibration, etc.) to maintain equipment that meets production standards

    Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum of a 2-year technical degree or 5 years of hands-on experience
    • Proficient in reading and understanding equipment drawings/schematics
    • Demonstrated strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
    • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Effective oral & written communication skills, computer skills (including Word, Excel)
    • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement solutions to technical problems, independently and in partnership with others
    • Ability to work in a controlled environment
    • Ability to travel up to 20%
      Desired Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
      • Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Infor EAM) and/or Pro gramming, Product Life Cycle experience
      • Experience within medical, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries and quality systems
        *Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore's remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed. Locations not eligible for new remote work arrangements include: Alaska and Hawaii (for all roles), and Rhode Island (for wage/hourly roles only).
