About the Role: We are looking for a Calibration Technician to join our team. In this role, you will calibrate manufacturing, R&D, and supporting infrastructure equipment. Shift hours are Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm.
This role will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona.

  • This role is eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

    • Perform calibrations of equipment in manufacturing, R&D, and supporting infrastructure environments (will require significant time working in clean rooms)
    • Apply measurement science knowledge to diagnose, calibrate, and test measurement equipment in the electrical stimulation, time, temperature, flow, etc. to ensure measurement system integrity
    • Proactive identify and communicate calibration concerns or improvements (observations, drift, SOP's) to engineering, maintenance, and QA teams.
    • Work within an established quality system consistent with regulated industries and meeting documented procedural requirements
    • Work with multiple teams across the division including production, skilled trades, and technical associates with the dual purpose of maximizing schedule efficiency and minimizing impact to manufacturing.
    • Perform and documenting calibrations according to established procedures
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Maintain compliance with training expectations as required for this position
    • Support additional responsibilities as required within the scope of the position
      Required Qualifications:
      • Related 2 year technical degree OR a minimum of 4 years equivalent experience repairing, maintaining, and calibrating industrial/ laboratory equipment OR CCT (Certified Calibration Technician) Accreditation through ASQ (American Society for Quality)
      • Experience working within a quality system or regulated business and ability to adhere to detailed written procedures
      • Knowledge of calibration related regulations, standards, and guidance documents (21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, NIST, etc.)
      • Demonstrated electronic and mechanical proficiency in working with industrial or laboratory equipment such as manufacturing equipment, logic control systems, pneumatics, electromechanical mechanisms, and drives
      • Proficient with functions and use of various measurement equipment (i.e. process calibrators, timers, RF, etc.)
      • Proficient with computer programs such as computerized calibration /maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
      • Complete tasks both independently and as a team member, while working towards team established goals
      • Effective oral & written communication skills
      • Ability to work weekends and off-hours to meet customer needs
      • Ability to work at heights of at least 15 feet, lift 50 lbs., and work in challenging locations Desired Qualifications:
        • Successful completion of PMEL training
        • Experience with Uncertainty Budgets, Test Uncertainty Ratios and Test Accuracy Ratios
