Requires Double Endorsement and Experience pulling DoublesSchedule Sun-Thu Nights & Starting Pay of $26/hrSummary:This position is responsible for driving tractor trailer combination to shuttle products, livestock, or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form. This position may also assist with route deliveries when necessary.Essential Duties:Driving truck to predetermined destination for delivery of trailer and productCommunicating with dispatch, supervisors and other drivers to ensure safe and on time arrivals at destinationsLoading and unloading trucks as required for returns, pick-ups and deliveriesPerforming daily routine vehicle condition report on truck and/or trailerComplying with company policies and D.O.T. regulationsPerforming other duties as assigned to meet business needsQualifications:Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for tractor trailer operationMust have Double Endorsement and experience pulling doublesMust have a good driving record for past 39 monthsThree months or more tractor trailer experienceMust be available to work with the demands of the department which are subject to overnight shifts, weekends, layovers and holidaysHigh School Diploma or GED preferredMust be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public and respond to official inquiriesPhysical Demands:Regularly standing and walkingReaching with hands and arms to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controlsSitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawlingRegularly lifting and/or moving up to 100 poundsFrequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 poundsOccasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 poundsVisual Requirements:Close, distance, color and peripheral visionDepth perceptionThe ability to adjust focusCorporate Summary:At Shamrock Foods Company, people come first
