Facilities Repair & Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

About the Role: The Gore Medical Plant Operations Team is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Associate who will be responsible for repairs and maintenance on facilities, grounds, and equipment. Standard hours will be Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

This role will be located at our Medical East facility in Flagstaff, Arizona and will support multiple facilities.


  • Responsible for repairs, adjustments and ongoing maintenance of facilities and equipment
  • Performs general maintenance activities including painting, plumbing, masonry, and general carpentry
  • Organize and direct outside contractors as needed, while ensuring vendor services comply with the requirements and scope of work dictated by Gore
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair of facilities equipment, and infrastructure
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facilities equipment, evaluating effectiveness (content and frequency) and making necessary changes following our quality system guidelines
  • Support continuous improvement and sustainability activities
  • Commit to continuous personal development aligned with current commitments and business goal
  • Foster and maintaining a positive, inclusive, and safe working environment
  • Document and sign off on completed maintenance activities including time, parts, and description of work in the Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMS)
  • Work at multiple facilities to meet business needs

    Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial environment with a focus on facilities maintenance
    • Proven equipment troubleshooting and repair skills
    • Experience with contractor/contract management
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Desktop computer skills, coupled with basic understanding of networking and operating systems as related to control systems
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work in a rapidly changing environment while performing multiple tasks
    • Ability to work from drawing and follow written procedures
    • Ability to work overtime or weekendsand perform on call duties as required to meet enterprise needs
    • Ability to climb, work from ladders and aerial lifts
    • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently

      Desired Qualifications:
      • Experience performing building maintenance in a regulated manufacturing environment
      • Experience documenting and signing off on completed maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
