$83,000 to $127,000. Position open due to retirement. Position is responsible for the installation, maintenance and any future upgrades or projects associated with the Electrical Instrument field. Oversees and supervises 12 Electrical HVAC Technicians, Industrial Electricians, and Electrical/Instrumentation Specialists. Must assist Maintenance Manager and all other plant supervisor/managerial positions to ensure production and optimization goals to maintain the highest quality of cement finished product. In addition, will be responsible for training, scheduling, safety and staying within the limits of maintenance budget. Reports to Maintenance Manager. MUST have a high school diploma or higher. Be a qualified Electrician/Instrumentation Repairperson. Valid driver's license with respectable driving record. Must possess knowledge of cement processing equipment, plant maintenance functions, and departmental and plant policies and procedures. A minimum of 5 years cement plant experience in the production of Portland cement, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity or equivalent desired. Must be highly competent in the use and understanding of the ECS program. Must have good communication skills both written and verbal. Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel and the company's Computer Maintenance Management System. Demonstrated ability for independent decision making. Must be able to work under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines. Work with a high degree of confidentiality. Must be available for call outs and to work weekends and holidays as necessary. Select, train, coach and counsel staff to insure an efficient, safe, stable and cooperative workforce. Ensure, consistent compliance with applicable Company and Governmental policies and procedures. Establish business relationship with inside and outside resources to ensure the availability of their services and explore new trends and products. Responsible for keeping abreast of federal and state safety regulations (MSHA and Office of State Mine Inspector). Responsible for enforcing safety procedures and Company Handbook within the Electrical/Instrumentation Department . Conduct weekly tailgate safety meetings with departmental personnel. Identify and requisition the purchase of spare parts required to complete assigned work. Identify work requiring Engineering design and request assistance through the engineering department. Plan, schedule and manage outside contractors to complete capital or repair projects within the plant. Be involved in future expansion projects with the VP Cement Operations, Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager and others usually involved regarding equipment choices and outside contractors. Responsible for the preparation of both the capital and expense annual department budgets. Supervise personnel on call-out or scheduled on shift. Oversee personnel records of department employees. Today, the company has completed a major modernization project that has changed the face of the operation - With new, state-of-the-art kiln and milling systems, the company is well positioned to meet the challenges of the construction industry. Production: 3000 TPD of Portland cement.
